Privacy Policy
Georgia Contractors is a free, public directory of licensed general contractors and remodelers in Georgia, operated by Artivicolab ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
You can browse the whole directory without an account, and we do not ask you to create one. We collect very little:
- Location you choose to share. If you tap "Use my location" or enter a ZIP code, we use it only to show distances and nearby contractors. It is stored locally in your browser (not on our servers) and you can clear it at any time.
- Basic usage analytics. Aggregate, non-identifying information such as which pages are popular, to improve the site.
- Messages you send us. If you email us (for example, to claim or correct a listing), we keep that correspondence to respond to you.
Business listings
Contractor listings are compiled from publicly available sources and third-party business data. They may be incomplete or out of date. A business owner can claim, correct, or request removal of their listing by emailing us.
Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember your location preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Third-party services
Maps are rendered with OpenStreetMap. Listing cards link out to contractors' own websites, phone numbers, and Google Maps. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share information when required by law or to operate the basic functions of the site (for example, requesting map tiles).
Your choices
You can clear your saved location at any time by dismissing the location bar or clearing your browser storage. To correct or remove a business listing, email us.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
